Why We Do What We Do

In Christ: We want to be and make disciples in Christ. This means constantly spending time with God and in His Word. The Bible is a primary way God has revealed himself to us and is a staple in the diet of a disciple.

“But he answered, “It is written, ‘One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”          Matthew 4:4

In Community: We want to be and make disciples in Community. God did not intend for us to worship him in isolation, but in community.

“If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.”      Philippians 2:1-2

On Mission: We want to be and make disciples on Mission. Christ gave us a clear mandate that has always been God’s will: We are to help win other people’s hearts for God.

“ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”          Matthew 28:19-20
